he should spend rest of his life in prison, where his pension will do him no good, divide it up to f.f. widows who's husbands lost their lives in line of duty!!! some of them in fires started by arsonists!! i have no pitty for these idiots, and would just as soon them FRY!!!!

Firefighters are AMAZING!!!

Firefighting takes a special kind of people. It's a hard, dangerous job. I admire all firefighters but especially the ones who volunteer.

I used to be a volunteer firefighter in NY out on Long Island. It's a great feeling to just be able to help someone whether it be a car accident or a fire. People up there usually walk around calling us vollies Heroes. Vollies don't do it for that, we do it for the good feeling we get from helping people.

Departments in the area I have been doing this for 20 years... We always have an ALS ambulance at our training exercises..

Firepeeps and ParaEMT's -- Read this story. The mayor denied flu shots as part of a power play with the union. Every member of the department should file a grievance. The creep is playing with the lives of his employees.

Fuck that. How about we put him on the streets with this stuff going around lets see how long he lasts till he gets sick. It's putting the employees lives and the lives of there family's on the line. Not speaking for the fact that if a Firefighter, EMT, Paramedic is sick it's another guy down with the manpower being down as it is, which is not safe or right

I agree Lou, I have firefighters in my family and work in a dispatch office for Fire/EMS. What is he thinking. You folks risk your lives everyday, away from your families to help others. You are trying to protect yourself, coworkers and families. I also agree with Joe about the manpower down. It isn't safe let alone fair for others to pick up the extra slack and be worn out. Who pays the overtime then??? Wouldn't the flu shots just be easier money and time wise. Be real.
