First Round Capital

First Round Capital Since we started holding Office Hours last fall, we've met with entrepreneurs in 9 cities and two countries. We've tried to make each event a place where folks could ask us what we thought of an idea, learn more about our portfolio, or just get our take on a particular trend. Along the way, we've met with people who la...ter found jobs within our portfolio and invested in a company we first met over a beer. More importantly, we've been happy to see other VC firms hosting similar events. Anything that makes it easier for company founders to meet VCs is a good thing.

With this as a background, we're especially excited to announce that LA will be the place of our next Office Hours. It may be hokey, but there's something very appropriate about LA being the milestone 10th city. Long before there was any silicon in the Valley, when people went to chase their dreams in California, they went to LA. Through our 8 portfolio companies in Southern California, we know how much energy there is in the LA start-up scene. Come join us at Bar Chloe on December 9, 2009!
