I managed to get a ticket to this Who tribute and sat wayyy in the back, but you could still feel the power and swagger of the Foo's from the cheap seats...and then to go see them at that Love Ride in Pomona with all the Harley bikers was a trip! Leave it to Dave & the Foo's to always add an adventure to their excellent music! Foo...FOREVER!

Just wanted to write a quick note to clear up this whole "Open letter to Metallica" fiasco......For the record, I never "wrote" anything to Metallica. I was asked by a journalist, at the end of a long interview (abut the Foo Fighters) to give a quick message to Metallica in the studio...

…is paved with good intentions! Remember back in January when the blog was new and I had high hopes of posting updates every other day or so on tour?!? Where’d it all go wrong? Same place it always does I suppose. I’m fucking lazy...

Japan was grey and rainy, so waking up to the sun this morning was wonderful. We’re near a waterfront park, and I take advantage of the good weather and head down for an early morning run...

Today is so packed full of airplanes and airports that we need to get out of the hotel by 5:30 in the a.m. in order to pack in order to fit them it all in. First flight is from Narita to Hong Kong...

Taking the bullet train back to Tokyo for our last full day in Japan. After arriving a few of us get together for lunch at the hotel steak house. I still can't get over the meticulous attention to detail here: they're steaming the tablecloths at the table...

There's some kind of right-wing flag waving and bullhorn shouting spectacle happening just outside the hotel this morning...

We're taking the bullet train to Osaka this morning...

This was a great show. I've seen you guys a couple of times before and I was surprised to see no huge backdrop! So happy to hear you had fun! :)

It's been fine, being home (great, really) - went to the coast, saw a show, took Noah to the park - but the calendar is a thug, and says it's time to get back to it, and particularly, that I need to find a way to Tokyo...
