The Forbidden Bloods Beginning
Who knew decisions from the past
Would change our lives forever, fast
Family, friends, and even class
All those things would never last.
First it started with the sun
Felt so different, weighed a ton
I used to love it, had lots of fun

These are some Frequently Asked Questions that we have answered quite a few times. If you have a question that doesn't appear on here, you may ask it in the Questions discussion or on the fansite: forbiddenbloodsfans.nicebo
1. Is this book published?
No. We are in the process of trying to get an agent so we can submit to the publishing companies.
2. When will it be available online?
We are currently awaiting the arrival of our proof copy from CreateSpace. If the book is formatted correctly and we don’t see anything wrong with it, we will approve it and it will be available through our personal e-store and also Amazon.
3. How long is the book?
About 75,000 words and 32 chapters. Our proof copy states that there are 390 pages to the book.
4. How many books are you planning on writing?
Right now, because of how we’re formatting the books, we’re planning on at least 8. If the story takes us farther, we will keep writing.
5. How did you decide on writing about twins? Are you twins?
No. We’re just best friends that have known each other for 10+ years. The idea for twins just came out as soon as we decided on writing a book. One author said, “Identical twins!” And the other said, “YES!” It completely fit with us because we have both always wanted to be a twin and we also liked the book to be a dual narrative.
6. What made you decide on Vampires and Witches?
Well, we had both started reading fantasy series. Grace had read Twilight and Evelyn had read House of Night, then we begged each other to read them. So we did. Then, Evelyn read Vampire Academy and loved it! And also Blue is for Nightmares! Grace was soon reading those also. So, one day, Evelyn was over at Grace's house and said, "We should write a book!" and Grace said, "Okay!" So that weekend we actually sat down and started brainstorming. Both of us loved vampires and both of us have wanted to be telekinetic and telepathic for a long time, so we put them together.
7. What about the idea of Werewolves and Shapeshifters also attending the school?
The idea to add werewolves and shapeshifters...well...we really don't remember where that came from!
8. Why did you choose to have the school hidden in the mountains in Canada?
Mountains are pretty! Actually, we don’t really know how we came up with it. It sort of came into the story while Evelyn was writing and Grace liked it, so it stayed that way.
9. How did you come up with the title for the book? How long did it take?
It took a long time to get the title! We’re really bad at coming up with the title and the tagline. The original title was ‘Familiar Strangers,’ but after reading it over, it didn’t fit too well. Although, we liked the idea of an oxymorons because the twins are like oxymorons, so we kept looking at oxymorons. And while we were both looking online, we both came up with two different variations of ‘Silent Screams.’ At the same time. (Scream Silently and Silent Scream) So, we compromised and settled on ‘Silent Screams.’
10. What is the tagline for the series? Is there a different tagline for each book?
Yes. Each book will have their own taglines. The tagline for ‘Silent Screams’ is ‘Pain should never be kept a secret…’ The tagline for the series as a whole is ‘Life is difficult when you’re not supposed to exist.’
11. How did you come up with the series title, ‘Forbidden Bloods?’
That came about while we were researching book titles. Grace just blurted it out and it fit wonderfully. The blood that runs in the Grimwood twins’ veins is forbidden.
12. Are any of the characters in the book modeled after a real-life people?
No. Some of the traits the twins have are the same as the authors. For example, Claudia loves pepperoni pizza like Evelyn and Melina loves cheese pizza like Grace. A few of the characters share the same name as people in our lives, but that is entirely unintentional. However, Adam Xanthis in the book got his name from the best singer ever, Adam Lambert, and James Stone got his name from James Lafferty.
13. Did you ‘take’ anything from another series you read?
No. Anything we felt was too much like another series was taken out. Of course, there will always be similarities in everything and anything you read. It’s hard to write a series involving vampires and witches because whatever you write, it has almost always been done. So anything that seems like another book, is entirely unintentional and is mostly there because of something else that had to happen.
14. How much of you do you put into your characters?
We don’t put much. The biggest thing is that they talk like we talk minus the phrases. Claudia has a way bigger attitude then Evelyn does and Grace isn’t as outgoing as Melina. They do, however, share some of the same interests as we do, but overall, they are completely their own character.
15. Is there a reason Evelyn writes for Claudia and Grace for Melina?
Well, we decided on the twins’ personalities before we started writing. We wanted one to be the ‘bad’ twin and the other, the ‘good’ twin. We joke that the reason Evelyn can’t write for Melina is because she doesn’t have a big enough vocabulary and the reason Grace can’t write for Claudia is because she can’t dumb herself down enough.

17. What are your writing rituals? Do you write in the same place every time? Are you always together?
No. We’re not always together when we write, but we were for most of the book. Most of the time we’re at Grace’s apartment or the park. And we always order pizza when we’re having an all-nighter. When we started to write the book, that’s exactly what we did. We just wrote, we didn’t have a book plot until the middle of the book. Then we made a chapter cheat sheet for the rest of the book.
18. Who did the spelling and grammar? Do you have an editor?
No. We don’t have an editor right now. Mainly, this is because we can’t afford one. We have done all the grammar, spelling, and punctuation ourselves and since we don’t have an editor, we are sure there are still a few mistakes we have missed during our reviewing stage.
19. How would you like it if the books were made into movies?
Evelyn wouldn’t like it, but Grace wouldn’t mind it.

Simple. Because we want to know who’s reading and there’s no other way to finding that out unless people tell us.
