Frank was born September 4, 2008 at the San Diego Zoo. A western lowland gorilla, Frank is the fifth member of the Zoo's gorilla troop.

Frank the Gorilla At 26 pounds, Frank is blossoming into a dashing young gorilla. He loves beating his chest (even when he misses the target and beats on his legs instead), hanging out with the family, playing with his super-sized Dad, and exploring new and delicious things to eat.
