We already are in more states. That's the problem. If you want libertarians spread out in every state, look around you because that's what you've got.

Hope you'll join as a friend of the FSP and tell others about us.

Jerry Wayne Yelverton

Jerry Wayne Yelverton What is the tax and job situation like in NH? I may consider moving when my daughter graduates from high school. It is really cheap to live here in Louisiana, but government corruption is rampant. Gov. Bobby Jindel has his hands full down here. I really like him. He is trying hard to do the right thing.

Hello Jerry. NH has the lowest taxes in the lower 48 states. It also have an unemployment rate below the national average: http://money.cnn.com/news/storysupplement/economy/gapmap/

The cost of living will likely be higher in NH than LA, mostly because average incomes in NH are so much higher. So, things cost more, but you make much more.

I'm not really sure, to be perfectly honest. I believe tech jobs and healthcare are growing. There are a lot of farms in Northern New England as well. What kind of job are you looking for?

Free State Project While not related to the FSP and only tangentially related to New Hampshire, it does give a glimpse into part of the Northern New England culture.

Yeah, what has America done for us lately! What garbage! While I too want a return to constitutionality and eventually a min-state society,I also recognize that America has been a grand experiment in personal freedom that has advanced the cause of freedom for humanity (despite its many sins). I know I'll be pilloried for this statement, but I think that it's important to take the long view of humanity and society in order to think about how to make real change.

Glenn, there's no reason you'd be pilloried for that statement. America's Revolution was the largest step forward for human freedom in thousands of years. Speaking personally, the principles of the American founding still guide me.

Dude, if you think New Jersey is saveable, you've got another thing coming. New Hampshire is America's freest state, but it is not yet free. There will be wins (defeating the seat belt bill) and losses.

Even the Founders' generation subsidized newspapers. It's a tough battle.

please elaborate on defeating the seat belt bill. I have long held that mandatory seat belt laws violate constitutional rights and am curious about your statement.

Considering what went down in the House last night, with all of us soon to be ordered to buy insurance or go to prison, we might have to change that slogan to "Remember, remember the 7th of November."
