The Fruitmarket Gallery New in the Bookshop! A great new story from Edinburgh-based illustrator-author Alice Melvin. Counting Birds is the beautifully told rhyming tale of a spring day in the countryside. There are 20 birds, from a single cockerel crowing at dawn to the rooks returning to roost in the evening via swans, ducks, starlings and more. Ideal to read aloud with children! Also available now from our online shop.
