Albert Blitz

Albert Blitz Hello Fruxies, unable to sync my notes from Leopard on my old G5 to Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro in 9.6.4. Inserting them by hand makes then appear double, in the inbox and in the notes box. When removing them form the inbox they disappear from the notesbox too. Do I make some mistake?

Hi Albert,

eventually you are syncing them via IMAP and via fruux. If you are already syncing your Notes via IMAP, there is no need to sync them via fruux (fruux syncs only Notes in "local" folders).

But you should get in touch with our support in any case -> http://fruux.com/contact/... Read More

Hopefully Apple will allow us to do that. High hopes for iPhone OS 3.5 or OS 4.0. We might implement the CalDav protocol in the meantime, but a native implementation would be much better. Cross your fingers! ;)

Lars

Lars dear fruux,

there is one annoying behavior: every time your the sync / request
times out, the system preferences pane pops up and grabs the focus
(away from what I'm doing), this happens way too often.

can you guys deal with this more gracefully, pleeeease!

thanks a lot,

lars

Hi. Since I've upgraded to Snow Leopard, syncing behavior has changed a bit. Right now, when Fruux begins to sync (and the icon starts rolling in the menubar), iSync launches silently and tries to sync with all my devices. Before SL, it synced with fruux only. Now it keeps looking for my mobile phones via BT and (obvio...usly) doesn't always find them. That causes the whole sync to fail. Should I send you anything from the logs in order to help?Read More

Apple changed this behavior in Snow Leopard. It's beyond the control of fruux. The Apple SyncServer on your Mac launches iSync. You might want to try removing your phone in iSync, closing iSync and re-adding it. Oh and b.t.w.: Please don't use Facebook for support inquiries. We get no whatsoever notification here, so you'll experience unpleasant delays until you get your answer. :-)

Masahide Seki If
I turn on the option 'Always keep synchronized', I always see a message
'fruuxsync wants to use the "login" keychain.' Are there any solution to prevent the
message ?

Just accept it once via "Always allow".
fruux saves your fruux account and password in the keychain. It needs of course access to this keychain element in order to authorize at the fruux cloud. b.t.w. Please use http://fruux.com/contact/ for support inquiries - You'll get your replies much quicker over there :-)

Ted Rouse I keep getting the message "Sync manager is disabled" when trying to sync? Am I missing something? Is there a firewall port I need to open?

Just open iSync.app, then iSync's preferences and activate "Enable syncing on this computer".

b.t.w. please direct your support inquiries to http://fruux.com/contact/ in the future - you'll get your answers much quicker over there (unfortunately there is no facebook notification when there are new posts on our facebook site) :)

Dima Pyankovskiy

Dima Pyankovskiy Most of sync software build one level networks of devices.
Maybe it's possible to build network in 2 levels: master and slave. In such network some devices (master devices) could change informations on other devices (slave devices). But slave devices couldn't change information.

Thanks for your suggestion. This has been suggested a couple of times and we are already thinking about how me might implement it (in a clever way) in the future. Maybe some kind of publish/subscribe model. B.t.w. What is your use-case for a master/slave "sync"?
