Fool’s Day Fiasco to benefit Brunswick Teen Center
BRUNSWICK – The Gelato Fiasco and the Brunswick Teen Center will join to support Brunswick’s youth by holding a special event on Wednesday, April 1. The Maine Street flagship store of The Gelato Fiasco will donate all April 1 sales beyond the seasonal daily average to the Brunswick Teen Center.
The event, the “Fool’s Day Fiasco,” will be held during the store’s regular hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Volunteers, including principals of local schools and coaches of local sports teams, will serve as celebrity scoopers from 6 to 9 p.m. Random giveaways of Gelato Fiasco T-shirts and other items will also take place during the evening hours.
The Gelato Fiasco will donate all sales beyond the average for a Wednesday in April. Therefore, the donation size increases as additional local residents make purchases.
“We’re thrilled to partner with a local organization that does such good work for Brunswick teenagers,” said Joshua Davis, owner of The Gelato Fiasco. “By simply coming out on April 1 to enjoy a dish of gelato, customers can show their support for the Brunswick Teen Center, too.”
“The Brunswick Teen Center provides a safe environment for young people to explore creative outlets and utilize their talents,” said Deb Leslie, director of the Brunswick Teen Center. “This event will help make sure that the Center can continue to support Brunswick’s teens.”
The Gelato Fiasco uses authentic Italian methods, Maine milk, and fresh ingredients to create innovative gelato flavors from scratch at its kitchen in Brunswick. In addition to the 30 flavors available daily at its store in Brunswick, the brand is also available at fine restaurants and select grocery stores in central and southern Maine.

Hey!
We hope you might take a moment to help The Gelato Fiasco move forward in a really cool business contest that will help make The Gelato Fiasco even better.
The first round of awards -- $5,000 -- depends on fans like you to give our entry a thumbs-up.
We wrote about our experience gaining the necessary financing to build The Gelato Fiasco two years ago. You'll see how one "expert" wanted us to call our gelato company "A Taste of Italy in Your Hometown" and hang sausages in the windows.
Ahem.
