The Afghanistan situation is difficult. We put more troops in and that really isn't going to solve the problem, we take troops out and that isn't the answer either. I am looking forward to Clark's comments!!

Mr. Glorious General. I am agree for more troops in Afganistan. But in reality a good studied strategy mixed by the troops is necesary for this moment. Because the balance of this war is to determinate the talebans, not to take troops every year. Sokol Premti Albania

Although we all want electric cars and independance on foreign oil, we are empowering the large utility companies, powered with nuclear and polluting coal. There is no guarantee that consumers will be able to afford these new cars and there is no guarantee that we will not be paying as much for electricity as we do for gas.

The article states that this may be the next big industry but most of the consumer electronics industry went to Asian manufacturers with the exception of a handful of US entrepreneurs in software and servers. By trading these industries for tobacco and beef, we empowered the rise of Asia. It would not be so bad had they not spent much of that profit form our consumerism on military might.

We have to insure that we are the leaders not only in electric cars and new optical communications systems, but in battery storage, solar power and also biofuels made from algae in safe and conservation oriented photobioreactors.... Read More

We cannot afford for these critical and strategic technologies to be transferred to Asia. They, too are economic generators for energy independence, communications EMS leadership, and consumer savings.

The energy grid needs to be distributed, safe, fair and rewarding to those who supply energy into it from their investments in energy independence.

Once again, Wes Clark is on the leading edge of these issues.
