William Randolph Alright GM, I'm a fan, I'm posted on here plenty, I've stood up for you through the endless bashers, and I've even written directly to herr Lutz with my ideas. Now do me a favor, just build the Vauxhall Insignia VXR in an American trim AND here is the caveat: don't touch it other than to switch the steering wheel to th...e proper side. Every time you've brought a car across that is successful in the rest of the world, you've mucked with it. Leave one alone and see that American's want to be viewed as worldly and be able to compare their cars directly to their competition. Also, enough with the endless v-6 variants, you've done it forever and a day, just give us some boosted engines (that you do so well and have forever) and move on to making sure interiors are all designed in Australia.

Lopez Lalaine

Lopez Lalaine Just to send our sincere thanks to Wheaton GM dealership in Regina, SK for the assistance they gave us when our Corvette luckily got stuck on their parking lot while driving it going to Edmonton from the US. We know it is not a winter car to survive on the snow but had to drive it anyway and without the help of the Whe...aton General Manager and his staff to had it load onto a trailer for us to transport it home, it would just be sitting on the parking lot until the snow is gone. We are so grateful that even we did not buy our car from them, we saw their willingness to help and we were so happy and couldn’t make it home on Christmas Eve without their help. I give two thumbs up for Wheaton dealership in Regina and to all the GM-Chevy dealerships; it is worth buying cars from people whom you know you can rely on.

Pontiacs have been nothing but nicely styled four bangers and sixes for a LONG time.

The G8 isn't coming back anytime soon, get over it. I LOVE the car...so much so I will probably buy a used one, but it's gone.

I am sure it'll be back in a different form, but not soon.... See More

@Eric, I agree, the interior definitely looked better it just didn't feel better. Buttons, knobs and closures were looser and felt as if they were made fo cheaper plastic.

Tesla's founder and CEO is a former computer guy. I think that the convergence between these two industries is a very natural fit, especially with the trend towards hybrid and electric. Both industries use global sourcing with a wide array of third party suppliers. They have a simillar sales and marketing strategies. Efficient power management and battery technology is key to success in both industries.

David Parris Does anyone know if GM is going to back the development of the 4.5 litre duramax diesel? The program was shelved last year....I really would be interested in a 1/2 ton
Sierra diesel that tows 9-10k & gets 25 mpg..

Will not happen, same reason they never put a Diesel in the s10 or canyons, a small or midsized pickup that could tow 6,000 lbs would take to many people out of the full size pickup market because only 20% off the truck market needs more towing capacity.

Great Documentary. Mind you GM management isn't the only villian in this movie. CA politicians also play a very sinister role. Highly reccomend viewing this with an open mind.

@Ollie: oh and I agree that GM is just one player in this failure. Calfornia CARB folded like a cheap suit when pressured by many of the automakers and then eventually the EPA. I wonder what the pay out for the CARB board was worth and how much Texico paid for the battery patent.
