Dear Geochemical News Readers,

This issue of The Geochemical News is terrifically late. Mea culpa.

Here's a little-acknowledged fact. An Editor has two primary jobs; just two. ... Read More

The first is to engage smart authors who have the time and inclination to write an article for the GN. The smartest scientists are always busy, but fortunately they feel the strongest duty to contribute to their science. Should you meet one of these people, do not lose track of them. They harbor the insights of geochemistry and ask the best questions.

The Editor's second job is to publish each journal issue on time. The GN is published every three months. This is the July issue. The next issue is scheduled for October 2009. It will be up on the web by October 20. Enough said.

All the Best,
Stephen Komor, Ph.D.
