I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Professor Giles. He was absolutely one of my finest teachers at Georgetown. His Constitutional Law class was unsurpassed! He was way ahead of his time in the way he treated his students and I'm proud I was chosen by him to share in an evening of dinner and a Redskin Game. What a unique, interesting evening with a wildly intelligent, sensitive renaissance man. When I think back at my years at the Hilltop I will always think of Walter Giles. RIP

Professor Giles had the most extraordinary reading program associated with his U.S. Constitution & Government course. I still recall reading a few books on a Wednesday evening and then taking the tests on them Thursday morning! A true faculty GIANT has gone to his reward! Professor Giles is right up there with Carroll Quigley, Father Zrynyi, and Jan Karski, as my most memorable SFS professors! RIP, Professor Giles
