where did you see the word "volunteering"? The article describes these as service-jobs...ie paid jobs that serve the community. it's a great way for GW to allocate their FWS funds.

I meant to say "Community Service." I appreciate the rapid response, but as somebody who performed hundreds of hours of volunteer work while in the Human Services program I don't see how fully paid work can be considered the same.

The George Washington University Margaret Atwood worked with GW students to transform her most recent novel The Year of the Flood to the stage. Students sang in a gospel-inspired choir, rocked out on the bass and drums, and dramatically read key passages of the book while Ms. Atwood narrated.
