Girl Scouts Heart of the South
The White House contacted GSUSA and asked that Girl Scouts help decorate the White House for the Holidays.
They wanted girls to design 600 ribbons to be used in their decorations. Each ribbon is bright, beautiful blue and will have embroidered on it one word – Rejoice, Renew or Reflect. GSHS is one of JUST THREE counci...ls invited to be part of this project!
Troops serving nearly 600 girls responded that they wanted to be part of this project! Our goal was to get as many girls across our council involved, so we divided up the ribbons and most girls will work in teams to decorate them.
Once the ribbons are sent back, all we’ll have left to do is to watch the news at holiday time to see how they are used, and feel great pride in knowing one third of them came from Girl Scouts Heart of the South!
