Today is the team’s last full day at the orphanage. They will be traveling back to the States tomorrow and get in late tomorrow night - please pray for their safety.

Wrapping up the first day. Very hot in morning, but a little cooler in the evening. Again, we really don’t want rain! But it looks like we’re going to get it.. It’s raining right now.

It is stifling hot. Our plane was delayed as you know and now I know one upside to that. The locals did not know when our plane was going to arrive so we had one of the smoothest entries into the airport — THE smoothest time comparatively. It was still a little bit of a hassle with people clamoring

Team got in to orphanage last night and had to sleep in tent building. Setting up tents this morning. Apparently it's "wet, hot, lots of bugs." No internet connection for them this week so updates will be short and sweet as per text messages I receive (anouk)

According to the text I got from Jeremy, the plane took off around 3:30 our time - about a 3 hour delay. Please pray for the team as they'll most likely have to set up their tents in the dark! (Anouk)

The flight is delayed due to plane problems. Praise the Lord they discovered those on the ground and not in the air! Please pray that the flight would not be delayed too much longer and that the details of the delay would not cause too many complications Haiti-side (bus picking them up, etc). Praise the Lord for cellphones too! (Anouk)

The team is just traveling now. Not much talking. Too tired. We'll gel tonight and tomorrow. First big challenge of the day will be handling too much luggage in crowded, hot, clamoring, yelling, pushy reception at airport. A bus is supposed to be waiting for us!
