Global Majority, in partnership with the Monterey College of Law, cordially invites you to its third annual Middle East program!
Global Majority and its sponsors hope to build the leadership capacity of civil society advocates and emerging leaders in nonviolent conflict resolution, international negotiation and peace-...building. This program has been designed to train Israeli, Palestinian and international students in conflict resolution, negotiation and mediation, with a focus on the Palestine-Israel conflict and the role of international third parties.
The Training Seminar will take place on the grounds of Tantur Ecumenical Institute* in Jerusalem from 2-13 August 2009. Topics include an introduction to negotiation and mediation, a history of peace initiatives, Palestinian and Israeli perspectives of the conflict, methods of reconciliation, among many more. The Study Tour, organized by Global Majority and People's Peace Fund, will visit various cities in Israel and the West Bank on 5, 6 and 9 August. Upon completion of the program, students can receive a certificate and up to four units of academic credit issued by Monterey College of Law.
