Wow! For those of you who live in D.C., what's the best time of year to come visit if we want to do the museums and the zoo?

Actually December is usually one of the best times to come and visit. The DC area rarely gets hit by major snow storms until Jan. or Feb. In fact, today (12/21) the museums are OPEN, so SI tries to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.

I had one day off when I was in DC when I could visit the museums. My favorite was the Air and Space Museum, followed by the Natural History Museum. I actually didn't get a chance to visit any of the other museums.
