Explore the beauty of Kauai, Hawaii without hurting your budget. Kauai is a place to relax, a very nice island for vacation, and a place of solitude.

Howzit! Need some help from my ohana here. I'm a retired Deputy & my kāne is a kahuna, we have a 14 yr old girl & a small dog (10 lbs, Lhasa Apso breed) & we need a apartment/hale on O'ahu. Nothing fancy, we're not fancy people. Just clean & not in the bad area. We have hanai ohana in the islands & are asking them to be on the lookout as well. We are haole, but we're NOT tourists! Got my honorary "sistah" card right here. =)
If you can help us email me @: kepiku39@yahoo.com

I USED to watch this show just so that I could see MY HAWAII. The truth of the matter is that not all locals are on drugs. That part gets old after awhile.

Leave them home.
the new environment may stress your Fluffy or Rex out.
And the monitary price to leave them home will be worth it in the end, it works out about the same....and sometimes cheeper if you find someone to look after them.

Now a days, as long as you have all the shots, the Hawaiian Microchip and paperwork done within 10 days of leaving the mainland, you can pick your pet up at the airport and take them home to quarentine. If you don't do that, then it is 6 months in the quarentine kennels.

Thanks for the update on the link. I will have to ask my keiki how much he has learned in all his years at the University of Hawaii. Glad to see that his old mom still remembers 19 out of the 25 words. I am still Akamai after all!

Standing along the crater of the volcano is the ultimate! It's surreal and it's erupting as we speak! Volcano National Park. Hiking in the area is also really great. Walk through a natural lava tube!

We also have to worry about North Korea sending us their missile supposedly on the 4th. The local news is saying lots of security around the island to shoot it down if it is launched.
