Chevallier: Our cameras can playback in both PAL and NTSC settings, depending on where you are using your camera. Most regions outside of North America use PAL.

I looked at a bunch of videos from the old GoPto before making the purchase for the same reason, snowboarding. It seems the image wont vibrate too much depending on the situation. The weight of the camera plays a huge role as lighter weight and smaller profile means the mass of the camera won't be affected much when mounted tight.

First, use the flat mount on the board close to the binding where there will be less flex and using a steel wire tether to attach to the bindings just in case it comes out so the camera won't get lost. Otherwise, I will clean off the 3M tape and use industrial epoxy which I know for sure wont let the mount come off again with a tether.

I hear a lot of good things about using the surfboard mount due to its significantly larger surface of 3M tape. But if you care much about the cosmetic look of your board, that might not be a great option.

Well I still have yet to be charged for my pre-order. But I hear that they don't charge until it gets shipped. Don't know how true that is. But I would rather have them take the money out now rather than wait to see any issues with charging as I have had in the past due to the bank recently giving me a new card and the first 6 months, online purchases don't always work.

Christopher: We do not charge the card up until a few days before the camera ships. We do not like to charge the card until we know that we have the stock to fill your order.

Since they are dealing with inventory pre-cleared through EU customs, *and* in closer geographic proximity (with better shipping options) to you, they can give a much more accurate approximation of shipping times--and they can most likely get you an HD Helmet HERO before 20-Dec-2009.

Thank you to Richard for commenting on the SD cards. Indeed: we are still in the process of producing a list of SD cards known to perform well with the HD HEROs. For now, the Kingston 16GB ( class 4) is the one we typically use internally for marketing activities (for what it's worth).

Troy, I would love to tell you how my Kingston works, except.....I have no GoPro yet! This is one that they recommended, so I assume it will be fine. Robert-Amazon has good prices too, I've returned merch. to both, and I'd much rather deal with New Egg if there were an issue with the purchase.
