The ICT Asylum mental health facility was built in 1907 in order to tend to those persons with abnormal psychological differences. The building was constructed in a remote area, just outside of town at the time. It operated safely under the guidance... of the state government for nearly 70 years before it was condemned and closed by order of the federal government in 1972.
For the last 37 years the building has been vacant. Although many rumors have run rampant about the facility over the past several years, the ICT Asylum hasn't exactly been the vacant shell of what many have called the lunatic house.
After years of uneventful investigation and surveillance, a local television reporter has finally uncovered the truth.

Wichita's own "Guitar Heroes" celebrated in this special temporary exhibit include: Gage Brewer (who introduced the electric guitar to the world - via Wichita, Kansas*), Floyd Dalrymple, Bud Victory, Jerry H...ahn, Barry Harris, Clif Major, Pat McJimsey, Mark "Shark" Shelton, and Bill Goffrier.
*In September of 1932, Wichita's own Gage Brewer returned from Los Angeles with pre-production electric guitars produced by his friends George Beauchamp and Adolph Rickenbacker, to introduce the instrument to the world.
