I wanted to notify members of the Grand Ole Opry that Gerald J. Wolford (Jerry Page) died from Congestive Heart Failure on Thursday night, October 22, 2009. He had a long career in Rock and Roll throughout the 60's and 70's. He was a 1999 inductee into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He had a flatbed show with KSON Radio in San Diego, CA ... Read Morefor approximately 7 years. He toured and opened for acts such as Marie Osmond, Wayland Jennings, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Alabama just to name a very few. He was my best friend and soul mate and he will be greatly missed. He had a passion for all forms of music, was a perfectionist; he played multiple instruments but his love was the guitar. A memorial service was held for him Wednesday, October 29, 2009. I am trying to fulfill a promise I made to him that him and his career would not be forgotten. God Bless and Take Care of Him.
