Greenhill Humane Society It was a truly great year for the animals at Greenhill! Our long term friend Kato found a loving home along with 1,854 other animals. We found loving homes for 641 animals that were transferred to us from other shelters.

All of this was possible because of the generosity of our volunteers and fosters (who collective...ly put in over 25,000 hours this year), our donors, and the families who adopted.

There is one last chance this year to give a special gift for the animals. Please consider a year-end gift, so that we can start 2010 out strong.

On behalf of all the animals, thank you for your support!

Shana Tognazzini

Shana Tognazzini Hello- I just saw your post about Delores and I would love to talk to you about her... I have a furry gray kitty named Arthur who I think would really appreciate a roommate. He is an anxious kitty so I make sure to control his environment and provide a calm, relaxing life for him and it appears that Delores is a tad a...nxious as well... I would be interested in fostering her a few weeks to see if they were compatible, as I am sensitive to the fact that some kitties indeed need to be solitary kitties. If this is possible would you please let me know here on facebook? I was planning on coming by to see her tomorrow but it appears that you won't be open then :-(

Thanks!!!

Greenhill Humane Society These are the last two days to vote in the animal rescue site shelter challenge! Greenhill remains in the lead for the state, but just barely. Please, please, take a moment to vote for Greenhill both today (Saturday) and Sunday. It just takes a minute. If we win the challenge for our state, we will receive $1,000. That will really help a lot of animals!

Greenhill Humane Society Thank you to Debbie Summers & her 14 preschoolers!

"Kids choose gifts for the animals. It is great to read that many local schools are making choices to contribute to those in need this year (Register-Guard, Dec. 15). These are the people of our future world — and giving is its own reward, really. I know this first-hand..., because when I posed the same question to my group of 14 preschoolers — “Would you rather do a gift exchange at school or instead bring special gifts for the animals at Greenhill Animal Shelter?” the answer was a resounding “Give presents to the animals.”We will be taking our basket full of hand-wrapped goodies to Greenhill for a tour and lots of smiles this season. I trust that this activity will be remembered by them as they become a bigger and older part of our community. Hooray for all the kids in the community for being willing to give so much" Debbie Summers Eugene
