Our Facebook Policy:
Our Facebook page is a place for people who have "liked" Greenpeace Australia Pacific to engage with us and with one another.
It is not in the spirit of Greenpeace or social media in general to prevent people from interacting within this community. We actively encourage differing opinions – but not to the detriment or disturbance of the community and its individual members....
There will always be a few individuals who, from time to time, post content that falls into the following categories:
● Content is irrelevant to the original post
● Spam
● Abusive or seeks to damage the reputation and work of Greenpeace Australia Pacific
● Abusive or threatening to the Greenpeace Australia Pacific community or individuals within it, (including profanity).
When we see content that falls into one or more of the categories above we will remove the comment and post a notice of this with "Comment removed. We have removed a comment from this thread as it was either irrelevant, spam or abuse"
In accordance with Facebook’s Terms of Service (http://www.facebook.com/terms.php), we will delete comments. If an individual’s disruptive behaviour persists, then we may block that user from participating.
Greenpeace Australia Pacific is responsible for protecting and maintaining this integrity of this robust and committed community, all we ask is that posts remain respectful and relevant, that way the important causes and issues that we campaign on can be debated and "thrashed out" with all the passion they engender.
