Greg Boyd Following Jesus involves serving and relating to those living in poverty. There are more than 400 passages in the Bible (spanning over 3000 verses!) that make this point, yet this aspect of being a Christ follower is not often highlighted. Adding to the complexity is the fact that many of us do not live in proximity to... people who are poor or do not know how to engage with this community.

Ultimate Compassion will help equip you, whatever your economic status, to have relationships with and serve others across socio-economic lines. The conference’s large group sessions and workshops will use scriptures, stories and statistics to help attendees understand the impact of poverty and decide how to respond.

Hi Greg, My daughter Sarah Gagnon(formerly Sarah Hunter) is a friend of yours here in YWAM Madison. Her mom and I run a school for orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS in Katutura, Namibia. My wife has a teaching on working with the poor. You would like it. I would love to meet you someday.I loved your book, God at War. I teach at ... See Morethe Shift at Steiger Ministries every year. And at the Salvage yard when we are back fundraising. I am a Master potter and do a series on God the Potter. We also help sell the pottery to support the school. Maybe you would like to host an event sometime.

Greg Boyd Somewhere along the way western Christians seem to have forgotten how much our imagination impacts the way we think about God and consequently how we live for him.

From April 18 through May 24, we’ll be exploring ways to approach God with our whole selves: body, soul, and spirit. Join us as we Animate our walks with God...!

Bridge is an experimental online community that provides a virtual community online for Woodland Hills attenders, podrishioners, and visitors.

Greg Boyd When Greg Boyd became a Christian, his father, Ed, thought he had joined a cult. For fourteen years, Greg tried to talk to his agnostic father about Christianity, with little success. Then, in what he saw as a last ditch effort, Greg invited his father to participate in a dialogue through letters in which Ed could expr...ess all his doubts and questions and Greg could attempt to answer them and prove the validity of his own views. To Greg's surprise, his father agreed. This book “Letters from a Skeptic,” is the collection of those letters.

Noted author, former atheist, and pastor at Woodland Hills Church in St. Paul, Dr. Greg Boyd, will be speaking at Northwood Church on Sunday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. If you have doubts or questions about God, you won't want to miss this event. Is Jesus real, or just a myth? If God is so good, why doesn’t he stop terrorism? Do all non-Christians go to hell? Dr. Boyd will be unpacking these questions and many more.

This event is FREE, so bring a friend with you on Sunday, April 26 at the Maple Grove Community Center in the banquet room at 6:30 p.m. Dessert and coffee will be served. Childcare is available for birth through grade 3. Please RSVP to 763-557-0144 for childcare only. The cost for childcare is $5 per kid, $10 per family.

Greg Boyd Hi David, To answer your question: Yes. Open theism is an accurate description of the theological framework from which Greg Boyd reads and teaches scripture. It is also called the "Open View," "Openness," and "Open Theology." I would definitely encourage you to look into it from the view's own proponents. The view is o...ften misrepresented by its critics. To read about Open theism in Greg's own words, i highly recommend you read "God of the Possible: A Biblical Introduction to the Open View"
