I remember where I was and what I was doing on that day. I was a manager at McDonalds and happened to be on shift that day. The head manager, Conrad, came to me and told me that there was something on tv that he thought I should watch. Wayne's press conference. I cried. It was one of the saddest days of my life!
My then boyfriend, now husband, took me to an Oilers playoff game that year and it seemed that the entire city of Edmonton knew that Wayne was going to be there. Everyone but me knew this. When they announced that he was in the Coliseum, I was shocked! It made my day.... Read More

We miss you and I'm very sorry that my daughter Makenzie will only be able to read about you (and watch old games that I've taped).
