Now that we've officially received our 501(c)(3) letter from the United States IRS, we're getting close to launching this new global poverty movement in September 2009 but we need your help. My wife and I [and our three children] want to sincerely invite you to join us in helping fight Extreme Global Poverty. We will donate $1 to the cause of global poverty for EACH person that JOINS this group [personally up to 100K] but with hopes of this group growing to as many people as possible to help grow in awareness and action and to assist us in helping launch our organization. PLEASE DO NOT JOIN IF YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT GLOBAL POVERTY.

* About 2.7 billion people live on less than $2/day.
* About 1 billion live on less than $1/day.
* 1.1 billion people do not have access to clean water.
* Nearly 25,000 children die daily due to poverty.

We might not be able to save the world but we can certainly make a difference in a family, a town, a village... Even a few dollars can make a difference.

Why are we doing this? Our motivation is not to appear altruistic or righteous. We don't want any pats on the back. We are simply convicted to ACT. We can't afford to not do anything. We have decided to make some life decisions to give $100K to fight global poverty through a new Humanitarian Organization and simply ask that you consider learning together how we can CARE and ACT.
