Description:: Nathan is 13 years old and is a great kid that has over come so many obstacles in his life, wherever he goes he gets a G'day or a cheer from at least ten mates, we want to see if we can get 200 people that think Nathan is a legend to put a smile on his face who throughout his hardships has managed to put a smile on all of our faces! Nathan has charmarie tooth which is a neuropathy disorder meaning that he has a nerve degenerative disorder. Everyday is a battle, simple things like writing, walking, doing buttons and shoelaces up, the things that we take for granted, he needs help doing. He has had numerous surgeries to try and correct all the different parts of his body, and his legs can show the scars. For months and months throughout his life he has either been in a hospital bed or going around in a wheel chair. It is expected that by the time he is in his mid-twenties his weak and fragile body will no longer be able to with stand the already exhausting duty of standing let alone walking and will have to use a wheel chair permanently. Throughout all of these problems, he plays AFL, Indoor Cricket, Indoor Soccer, Table Tennis, Swimming and Volleyball. He also has been a vice-school captain and has been involved in AFL auskick programs and anything that they will allow him to help with. He has represented the Australian Capital Territory in Table Tennis and Swimming on many occasions around Australia and is about to represent Australia in swimming in the Pan Pacific Games, which will be held in Canberra in late November. But what most people remember about Nathan is not his courage and always try look on life but his inspiring, humorous and loving personality. His love of life with his sporting endevours, great supporting friends and family, we are sure that when Nathan grows up, he will make his mark in Australian history and will be an inspiration to many, as he already is today!
