Last night, Republican Rep. Tiahrt crossed the line when he asked on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives whether President Obama’s mother would have “taken advantage of [an abortion].”
That's a step too far even for a politician known for his radical, conservative agenda.
This kind of politics is divisive, inappropriate, and disrespectful to the thousands of Kansans he serves. Running to your base is common practice in politics, but this is one stone thrown too far.
