Great Campus Race
1–4 p.m., Geisel Library
All UCSD students are invited to compete for prizes by using teamwork, brain power and speed. Teams of two will receive a list of clues. The answer to each clue will correspond to a campus location. Racers may use any means to solve clues and are encouraged to call friends or use the Internet. The first team to be photographed at each of the locations and return to the finish line will win. Think Global, Eat Local: A Taste of San Diego County
4–6 p.m., Great Hall

Ever wondered what kinds of foods are grown in San Diego county? Well stop wondering and come taste them! At the 1st annual Think Global, Eat Local event hosted by the Sustainable Food Project @ UCSD, you will get the chance to talk with several local farmers in dynamic roundtable sessions and taste their fresh local fare in its purest form. In addition to the roundtables, the event will feature an exciting keynote speech by Slow Food San Diego Chair Scott Murray, followed by a presentation on campus food sustainability by UCSD's very own director of Dining, Steve Casad. We will close with an open forum space for friendly dialogue with community food organizations.

JMC Provost, Susan Smith, will award the “John Muir Prize” to the student creators of the winning VidFest short film and the winning video will be screened at the luncheon.

The traditional John Muir Week music festival, organized by Muir students, will celebrate the spirit of John Muir College by officially going green! Muirstock will feature a solar-powered stage, organic food venues and recycled and reusable prizes.

Green Scene: Film, Fashion, and Philanthropy!
5-9pm, The Loft at UC San Diego
The Green Scene is a showcase of student sustainability achievements through visual arts. Using film and fashion, these student projects display the creative aspect of environmental awareness and sustainability.
