To all Compassionate Friends interested in paying their respects to Gene Jamison:

Gene had joined the group a few months ago to help grieve her son Kodi. She has now lost
another child. This is an unfortunate development and we feel a need to help her cope.

The wake is being held at Damiano's Funeral Home at 191 Frankli...n Ave. in Long Branch on Saturday between 1 and 2PM. Tel. is 732-222-2312.

Some of us are going to meet at 12:00 Noon time at the Compassionate Friends Park and drive up together. If you would like to come, please meet us there.

Just wanted to let you all know that at the next meeting on October 6th at 7:30 at Winding River Park we will be showing a 15 minute DVD about how Compassionate Friends can help. In addition I will be sharing my personal grief journey through the notes I took while journaling starting a week after my son died. I hope sharing this will others who have questions about their own feelings. David Rothman

Stacy Nuccio

Stacy Nuccio I was curious.. Do any of you or did any of you seek a one on one grief counselor? And did it help? I'm trying to get my hubby to talk to someone and he won't come to group yet. I was wondering if it is worth looking into private care.. Thanks :)

Stacy Nuccio

Stacy Nuccio Thanks = )

David Rothman

David Rothman Stacy,
In answer to your question, the candlelight ceremony is open to everyone!

Hi Debbie,
Thank you for inviting me to join this group on facebook. It has been 5 years since my son Mark passed and it hasn't gotten any easier for me as yet. Since I live in Ohio I don't get to go to meetings but receive the newsletter everymonth. I have just come back from NJ and everytime I am there I visit the G...arden and was there for the dedication when it opened. Thank you again for the invitation to this group.
