5/3/08 - Hooters coming to Sheffield was mentioned in the G2 (Guardian)
I've had a reply from the Licensing dept of Sheffield City Council:
I refer to your email regarding the possiblity of an application for a 'Hooters' bar in Sheffield.
At present no application has been received by Sheffield City Council for a licence from Hooters and therefore I can't give you any information regarding this matter. If an application is made it must advertised in the press on one occaision within 10 days of making the application and a blue notice must be displayed on the premises on the day of application for 28 days.From the date of application you have 28 days in which to make relevant representations. The representations must relate to one or more of the four licensing objectives which are:- prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm.

8/3/08 Letters have been sent to the businesses in Leopold Square, asking for their support.
My letter to the Telegraph was published on Thursday so we've had lots more signatures on the petition - 108 to be precise! Please remember to put your name on the petition, an anonymous signature is not going to make a difference when we send it to the council.
