This is a Japanese-English language exchange group for people who want to learn Japanese culture or practice Japanese language, and also for Japanese people who want to make new friends with native English-speakers. Therefore, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join!!

Please be advised that this group is not an alternative to Japanese language classes or lessons. The group provides a place where you can practice what you have already learned from your Japanese classes or from self-study. If you are at a novice level, it is highly recommended that you take the basic Japanese language courses in a language school first. Or at least you need to study by yourself and be prepared well. If you can not read hiragana and katakana, please remedy this.

The Sunday classes from 11am - 1pm at UCC Cafe in Mitsuwa and a monthly social activity on the weekend run on the following recurring 4-week cycle:

Week 1
Japanese language instruction

Week 2
Self-study (no meetup)

Week 3
Japanese language instruction

Week 4
Monthly social event

In addition, Yoko-san has rekindled the Thursday meetups at the UCC Cafe in Mitsuwa. From 7pm - 9pm you can come and practice Japanese/English, eat dinner, or just hang out.
