In support of the Chinese people yearning for nothing more than to be free; let them take what is rightfully theirs, let freedom reign, and eradicate the Communist Party from every segment of government. We unequivocally call for the end of the despotic and deplorable Communist regime in Beijing that is responsible for the deaths of tens of millions and the misery of millions more around the world. Thanks to all the new folks (and older ones!) for joining Regime Change China. Please feel free to invite your friends and link to this group from your blog or other website! It is a huge morale boost to those living under repression to know all of us are here, from around the world and every background, working for and supporting their freedom. The more people who join this group, the more we can show that freedom-loving people of all stripes and backgrounds support democracy and human rights for the Chinese people. As Aung San Suu Kyi noted, democracy is a facet of humanity; it transcends culture much the same way eating and drinking do. In some places we may call it parliamentary and others presidential, but “a rose… by any other name would smell as sweet.”

Those insensitive to the cause of human rights and who think China’s human rights abuses are an internal matter do not know China very well; they should also be concerned. Since China is at this moment becoming a nascent superpower, and in fact, the lone superpower if it continues to own more of a continually failing U.S. economy, it is also in the world’s interest that we put the Chinese people in charge of their government, rather than the current lot of bloodthirsty and brutal tyrants who also hold dangerous imperial ambitions for which they are feverishly preparing, based on overwhelming open source intelligence dating back to the 1990s, at least. In short, this is a cause behind which both the traditional idealist and pragmatist should easily see the wisdom of getting behind.
