L’ILLUSTRAZIONE E IL FUMETTO PER I TERREMOTATI D’ABRUZZO
L’Associazione Illustratori, Lucca Comics and Games, Romics con il Comune di Ortona (CH),
il Museo Civico di Arte Contemporanea Palazzo Farnese e L’Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Mosca
hanno avviato una raccolta fondi per i terremotati d’Abruzzo attraverso
la vendita di illustrazioni e tavole originali.
Per garantire la trasparenza dell’operazione, si è scelto di effettuare la vendita all’asta attraverso e-bay.
Le risorse raccolte andranno ad un progetto concreto
che sarà comunicato non appena sarà possibile definirlo nei dettagli.
Le tavole che gli artisti metteranno a disposizione, prima di essere consegnate agli acquirenti,
andranno a costituire una mostra itinerante.
L’inaugurazione avverrà presso il Premio Cascella, Ortona, a luglio 2009.
Per questo motivo le opere dovranno essere raccolte possibilmente entro giugno.
In seguito, la mostra, sarà ospitata dai maggiori festival del fumetto italiano.
Il percorso della mostra durerà almeno un anno e ad ogni occasione la mostra
potrà integrare la “dote” artistica di opere.
Si è scelto questo tipo di percorso per tre motivi:
• mantenere viva nel tempo l’attenzione sulle problematiche derivanti dal terremoto
• coinvolgere autori ed acquirenti direttamente, nelle sedi proprie di frequentazione
• permettere la nascita di iniziative correlate (mostre di illustrazioni ad hoc, concorsi, spettacoli e altro)
• coinvolgere gli illustratori stranieri.
Gli eventuali invenduti saranno donati all’Accademia di Belle Arti dell’Aquila.
La pubblicità avverrà a mezzo stampa, su e-bay e attraverso spazi online ad essa dedicati.
ILLUSTRATIONS AND COMICS FOR THE HEARTHQUAKE VICTIMS OF ABRUZZO
The Illustrators association, Lucca Comics and Games, Romics with the
Commune of Ortona (CH), the Civic Museum of Contemporary Art Palazzo
Farnese and The Italian institute of Culture in Moscow have started a
fund-raising campaign for the hearthquake victims of Abruzzo, through
an auction sale of illustrations and original tables.
To guarantee the transparency of the operation, they've chosen to
effect the auction sale through e-bay.
The raised funds will go to a concrete project that will be
communicated as soon as it will be possible to define it in the
details.
The original tables that the artists will make available, before being
delivered to the buyers, will constitute a travelling exhibition.
The inauguration will happen during the Cascella Prize, Ortona, in July 2009.
For this reason the larger number of works must possibly be collected
within June.
The exhibition will be hosted subsequently by the major Italian comic
festivals, and
it will run for at least one year; in every occasion it's artistic
"endowment" can be integrate of new works.
This modus operandi has been chosen for many reasons:
- to keep longer in the time alive the attention on the consequential
problems due to the earthquake.
- to directly involve authors and buyers, in their common living places.
- to allow the birth of correlated initiatives (as well as other
illustration exhibitions, competitions, acting plays and so on).
- to involve foreign illustrators.
The possible unsold work of arts will be given to the academy of Fine
Arts in L'Aquila.
The advertising will be carried out by mass media, press, e-bay and
online, through pages devoted to the project.
