ABC TOUR TUES AUGUST 18!@!!#@

Hi guys,

We still have about 15 places left for the ABC studios tour tomorrow at 12:20pm. It goes for 1.5 hours approx.

You get to see heaps of cool stuff - behind the scenes of all your favourite shows, the news room, triple j, filming studios etc - and may even get to meet one of your favourite faces!

It only costs 3 bucks cause we have subsidised the tickets!

For all the journalists-in-training at UTS, the 2009 Journalism Awards will be presented at a gala evening held on Friday, March 6 at 5.30 pm in the Great Hall.

Awards will be presented for best work in 18 categories. There are two other awards: 2008 Reporter of the Year (one undergraduate and one postgraduate)

Closing date for entries is Tuesday, February 24, 5pm.

So to all our lovely members HAPPY NEW YEAR you glorious slags.

And with the new year comes a new executive and fresh, if not uglier faces.

So announcing...

On electric keyboard as Events Coordinator: Alex Blucher

We welcome all our old members to rejoin once again and continue our journalism rum diaries well into 2009 to party with subsidised booze and whiskey.
We will have all new events and all new late night tales of yore and internships from one journalism student to another - you'll need both if you're thinking of joining the Festival News team once again.
We've even got a stall (how professional) at O'day - so if you're new to the UTS journalism institution - drop on by to join up. Who knows? We may throw in some free gum and newspaper clippings (there's a GFC people, we can't afford whole papers).

We will also announce our new 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and combined degree liaisons at our first general meeting early in the new semester - so keep your ears pricked!
