More effort needs to be made wrt the numerous AD Reach signs being put up on lampposts. As far as I can ascertian these signs are all illegal.

We have queried these signs and await answers from Council's legal department.

Firstly a thank you to Jo'burg City Council in their ongoing efforts to assist - especially Councillor Marcelle Ravid, the various personel in the Outdoor Advertising and Signage department as well as the Metro Police By-laws division.

Further coverage in The Star newspaper highlighting the illegal contract entered into by City Power with Century Media to place advertising on the highways, as well as on and off-ramps - all of this signage is totally illegal. the advertisors should be ashamed of themselves - to name a few - Hertz Car Rental, Liberty Life, The Mall of Rosebank, Oriental Plaza, The Sunday Times, The Department of Trade and Industry (would you believe) and many others.
