The Worker-Student Solidarity Coalition is a labor-justice activist group at Wheaton College in Massachusetts.

We are committed to supporting both local and global workers in their struggles for justice in the workplace. We endeavor

(1) to promote awareness and understanding of how social, political, and economic forms of oppression infringe on workers’ rights in the local and global communities;

(2) to initiate dialogue on labor-justice issues among students, faculty, staff, and administrators; and

(3) to form relationships with campus workers—for the sake, first, of community building and, second, of solidarity in encouraging Wheaton to extend its fair-labor policies and practices beyond dining services to the broader array of retail, consumption, and human-services concerns. (read less)
