Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-ed service fraternity that has set the standard for college campus-based volunteering since 1925. We have active chapters on over 350 campuses and we strive to help each individual member develop leadership skills, experience friendship on many levels and provide service to others. Unlike other fraternities we are CO-ED, do not haze, do not have a house on campus (lower fees!), and are based on service.
We participate in service projects such as:
--Dance Marathon
--Relay for Life
--Fundraising projects
--Campus Clean-ups
--Equine Conveyance horse rescue and farm
--Garnet and Gold Goes Green
--Laura Jepson/Litchgate Historical House
--St. George Island beach clean-up
--Adopt-A-Highway
--Projects with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
--Student Disability Resource Center
--Teddy-Bear Bags
We also host social events throughout the semester including:
--Crush
--Homecoming
--Bon Fire
--Semi-Formal
--Formal (which is always held in a different city and makes for a fun weekend get-away)
--Tailgating & Football Games in Fall (we get block seating)
--Luau
--BBQ's
--Game Nights
And much more!
If you are interested, come and check us out at the rush table in the Union or just come to a rush meeting. We are there just to talk to you! If you have any questions feel free to e-mail or message the Rush Chair—Chris Howell, or any of the other members of our executive board. Get excited for rush!
Also, even though this group is global, APO Iota-Rho is only for FSU students. Sorry!
