The Bates Area Civic Association services residents in the part of Washington DC officially called Old City II, also part of single member district of ANC 5C01, and also known to some as East Shaw, Truxton Circle or Dunbar Shaw in the area between P St NW and Florida Avenue, and between New Jersey Avenue and North Capitol Street.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
The Bates Area Civic Association (BACA) meets on the first Monday of each month, except on holidays, when it meets the following Monday.
Meetings typically cover MPD crime & safety updates, committee reports, invited individuals representing the interests of the neighborhood, and open discussion of issues around the BACA area.
