The Calgary Area Council is a group of AUPE members from various locals and chapters in Calgary and area who are elected on the Chapter or Local level during the AGM and they volunteer their time and energies to organizing fun social events for AUPE members and their families! We also provided discounted tickets/passes to AUPE members throughout the year! Each Chapter has an elected member on the council but any Calgary area member who wishes to participate is welcome! Area councils are the social arm of AUPE dedicated to the persuit of Fun! The Slogan for the Calgary Area Council is "Where Fun is Number One!"
This Facebook Group was created to provide information only.
Please do NOT email us here and please do NOT post a query regarding ticket sales NOR ticket orders!
The group administrator (a volunteer position) also posts the CAC information (meetings, current events/ticket sales AND future events and ticket sales) AND attends to email queries sent to our contact email address:
cacaupe@yahoo.com and she is swamped.
For each event, there is a volunteer (sometimes more) that organizes the ticket sales for the event they volunteer for.
Our web coordinator can't manage additional email on Facebook along with the web page updates and the regular queries (along with spam), updating the webpages, etc. - and on a volunteer basis!
There is just not enough time in a day.
Anyhoo, this is a trial run on Facebook. If it proves to be better than our current websites then we may check for comments and address queries here. But not at this time. We hope that you will understand.

We will read and reply to emails sent to our yahoo address but not on facebook.
