Description:
Blue Velvet Studio is an art space in Mobile's LoDa downtown district that features an exhibition space and photography studio. We are interested in working with and exhibiting work from local and national artists, and encourage edgy material. BVS can accommodate paintings, photography, mixed media, film/video, sculpture, furniture, fashion, costumes, and performance art. BVS is open to the public during monthly LoDa Art Walks (second Friday of each month) and for special events.

10/9 Costume Exhibits, Bike Ride, and Dance Party

Blue Velvet Studio and the Blind Mule bring you COSTUMERY
Friday Oct. 9, 2009 6-9PM during the Mobile ArtWalk

- Blue Velvet Studio at 709 Dauphin St. #2, with costumes by Loran Chavez, Jessica Price and Karen Cassidy, plus modeled costumes from the 10/2 Haunted Fashion Show at the Temple

- The Blind Mule at 57 N. Claiborne Street, costume exhibit and costume bike ride, then costume dance party at Blind Mule after the ArtWalk, 9PM till you can’t dance.

Guests and artists are encouraged to wear costumes.

These collaborating events are in support of the Haunted Hospital Fundraiser for the Umbrella Seed / Downtown Creative Wellness Foundation
