The Bishkek Resource Center is financed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and the Soros Foundation Kyrgyzstan. The Center is affiliated with an EducationUSA global network of more than 450 advising centers around the world.

The main mission of the Bishkek Resource Center is actively promote United States higher education in Kyrgyzstan by offering accurate, comprehensive, objective and timely information about educational opportunities in the United States and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access those opportunities.

Center provides the following services:

* Library
There are more than 2000 different books about US, handbooks, guides which help you to write essays and resumes, test materials (books, cassettes, CDs) for preparing to TOEFL, GRE, SAT, GMAT, etc.

* Audio-video materials
In the Center you can watch TV-programs in English, listen to audio materials for increasing your English skills.

* Internet
Visitors of the Center have free access to Internet in order to find information about US educational system, study opportunities in the United States, scholarships, etc.

* Lectures
Every Friday at 16:30 Center delivers lectures on the following topics: "If you want to study in USA", "US educational system", "Financial aid opportunities", "How to write essays", etc.

* Consultations
Center gives consultations to interested individuals about study US opportunitiesries. (read less)
