From a group on LiveJournal-How to support the strike:
Do not download from ITunes or NBC Direct. As shallanelprin suggested, we MUST pledge to stop using this "new internet" technology until the writers and studios reach a deal. If you are hardcore enough, cancel your ITunes account altogether. I understand that some fans can only watch episodes via the new technology. Still, stopping downloading is the most direct way to send a message. (And in a few weeks it won't matter anyway because there will not be any more episodes to torrent. If you stop now, you send a message.) These companies only understand one thing: profits. Want their attention? Make their profits go down. I cannot stop you from downloading. I can only encourage you to participate in our other forms of supporting the writers.

Do not watch episodes from official sites. NBC, Comedy Central, Fox, and ABC let you watch full episodes on their sites. They are sponsored by various advertisers. Advertisers won't sponsor steaming video if the hits on the site plummet.

Write to the Advertisers. Follow the money. Go after the money.

Post and Bombard the Networks' Official Boards.

Do not watch replacement programming. After the scripted episodes go off air, turn off your TVs. Do not watch the middle-season replacements, imports, or reality shows.

Do not watch unscripted programming. The networks will try to ab-lib their reality television shows (just look at what happened Monday on 'Dancing With the Stars'). This will be the backbone of their survival attempt. The lifeboat that they use to ride out the storm. We need to send it into iceberg-infested waters.
