The Drew University Alliance is a student-run organization that works toward unifying the GLBTQ community with outer communities through education and awareness. Additionally, the Alliance works toward...
* Providing a safe place for people to express and find support in issues concerning their sexual orientation or gender identity.
* Providing a group that raises the awareness of the community by hosting informative events such as guest speakers, informative work shops, panel discussions, and field trips.
* Eliminating the harassment of and violence against sexual minorities.
* Confronting and debunking myths, stereotypes, and social prejudices towards the GLBTQ community by educating and actively pursuing goals related to said community.
* Educating and actively pursuing goals the organization finds relevant to both the GLBTQ Movement and the campus at large.
* Providing a group that hosts events that allow members of our group to socialize in an accepting atmosphere with other people of similar backgrounds and the campus at large.
General meetings are held every Monday at 6:30pm in the Baldwin Main Lounge. We also hold Support Group meetings every Thursday at 8:00 pm in the Haselton 4th Lounge. All are welcome to attend! If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us!
