There have been multiple cases of police related taser deaths and people need to stand up, and let their voices be heard. We cannot let those who are there to serve and protect to do the exact opposite.

In most cases, tasers are an unnecessary force, meaning that it is nothing more bout an abuse of power by the authority. In this case with Robert Dziekanski, it was more than an abuse of power. Robert was not a danger, he just got out of an airplane (therefore no weapons), regular citizens have proved more effective in communicating to him, when the RCMP arrived, without any regard they shocked him 2 or more times causing Robert’s death.

This can also be seen as an act of discrimination because Robert was Polish and not Canadian. If the same thing happened in Warsaw, Poland at an airport with a Canadian, Canadians would beg their government for an invasion. Setting nationalities apart, we must stand as one and make sure atrocities such as these are never committed again.

A man came to Canada to see his mother, he was all alone, tired from the plane flight, stressed, no one wanted to help him out, and after many long stressfull hours his anger got the best of him- but in no way did he lay hands on anyone nor was he a danger to anyone. I’ve been stranded on an airport before, the difference was that I was only there for 4 hours, all lost with no possible way of contact and no one wanting to help me, I did some things that I shouldn’t have which are similar to what Robert has done, should I have been murdered as well???

Below is a video taken by a witness, this video was presented to the RCMP who didn’t even want to return this tape, with court action/order/threat they returned it, and it has changed the way we view police and hopefully will help implement laws banning this dangerous device.
