Dear Fellow Adventurers,
Well, here we are after three months of emails, letters, phone calls, blood, sweet, tears, ect, and the time has come for phase two of the “Save the Adventurers Club” Campaign, the “Return our Adventurers Club” Campaign! Disney Executives have taken notice of the mass amounts of guest displeasure at the announcement and actual closing of our beloved club, and rumors are flying out of control like the Hathaway Browne’s Gypsy Moth!
One source says Animal Kingdom Lodge will be the new sight of Adventure. Another source tells of EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion taking in the Permanent Members. Sill other sources tell of a Disney Cameraman with a Disney Manager filming one night at the Club, someone overhearing them talking about the footage being compiled into a “training video”, mentioning that the Adventurers Club Main Salon, Library and BET Soundstage would be the new Adventurers Club, and that the reopening will occur in as little as two months! Which is true? Which is false? I do not know but I do know this.
The Executives were expecting a response from the closure announcement; however they were not prepared for the volume of dissatisfaction. In the following weeks, months and if need be years, the Executives need to continue to have their desks, computers and phones stuffed with messages saying that we want Adventure to return ASAP and sooner! If the messages stop, they will then sit back and say to themselves they were right, and no one cared about the Adventurers Club in the first place, However, if the messages continue to pile up They will see that movement will not be going away until we Adventurers have a new place to gather, enjoy a Kungaloosh and listen to the exploits of Hathaway Browne, Pamelia Perkins, Otis T. Wren and so on.
Please Adventurers, continue the fight! Our cause is justified. I was in attendance on the last night and witnessed that the Final Hoopla (for a while) consisted of 150 people inside the Library, 200+ inside the Main Salon and 100+ in the extended outdoor Queue, watching the event on the Plasma TVs! This kind of crowd does not appear at an unpopular attraction that deserves to close. So once again, below are the important addresses and websites devoted to preserving the greatest Disney Attraction of all time!

Fellow Adventurers,
The greatest crisis to hit our beloved 19 year old Adventurers Club has just occurred. In the past we have only had to appease the son of Chief Hanging Moon in paying the annual tribute of 2 Raccoon Pelts and $2000 for the land on which the club was built. It has been recently divulged that in fact Chief Hanging Moon rents the land from a corporation that now want’s it’s land back! Scott Powers of The Orlando Sentinel wrote on June 27, 2008:
Disney to close Pleasure Island's six nightclubs
The six nightclubs at Pleasure Island will soon shut down, as Walt Disney World redevelops the adult-focused district at Downtown Disney.
BET SoundStage Club, Mannequins Dance Palace, 8Trax and three other nightclubs that have for years catered largely to young, single adults -- rather than to Disney's bread-and-butter family market -- will close after Sept. 27. Over the next couple of years Disney will reopen the Pleasure Island area with a broader mix of restaurants and shops.
Though Pleasure Island's possible demise has been the subject of rumors for awhile, the announcement surprised many in the Orlando nightclub business. Pleasure Island, now 19 years old, may have seemed an odd venture for Disney but it appeared to thrive -- so much so that some in the industry have blamed it for accelerating the decline of the nightlife district in Downtown Orlando during the 1990s.
In announcing what they called "a bold new vision" for all of Downtown Disney on Friday, Disney officials framed the Pleasure Island nightclub closures as a response to their customers, who say they want more broad-based dining and retail opportunities throughout the 120-acre district. "Our bold new vision for Downtown Disney reflects the feedback we receive from our guests each and every day and will enable us to continue to offer the high-quality entertainment that is our hallmark," said Downtown Disney Vice President Kevin Lansberry.
Shall we as Adventurers take this news quietly? I should hope not! In the days to come, a petition shall be drawn up, and addresses to write letters of disapproval shall appear on this news board. I implore you to unit to help save our beloved Adventurers Club!
KUNGALOOSH!
