Yep, we are here looking for 'The One": a bone marrow match for Fred Varela.
Fred is looking for his match, and there are thousands of others like him who need you to join the "matchmaking lottery" and see if you are compatible for bone marrow donation.

Fred found out last May he has Leukemia and he needs a transplant.
Bone Marrow donation is simple, it’s not a surgery and you can check if you are a match with a simple buccal swab test or a blood test .

All you have to do is register as a donor in your region (links below), take the test and choose to donate if you happen to be a match to someone. Sounds easy? Not really! Apparently it's harder to find a bone marrow match than to find a soul mate! Only one out of 100 thousand people that register will be able to donate.

So, this group's intention is to get as many people as possible to register as possible donors and maybe help someone like Fred who needs a little hand.

So, if afterall you turn out to match someone they will let you know and you can choose to donate. Simple procedure, fast, no surgery necessary and boom, you save a life! (see videos for more info).

People with multi ethic background are specially important since bone marrow donation is restricted to ethnic groups. So, no matter what your ethnic group is, you help someone!
