Office
We officially have an office now. Thanks so much to everyone who was logging in hours at our carrel space. The effort has paid off, indeed! Please keep in mind, however, that this is not the end. We still need to be logging in time if we wish to keep our new privilege. The office is along the wall one would face if one were sitting at the carrel space. The office number is 51 P. If you have anything you would like to donate to the office, please let me know! More information to follow at the meeting.

If you would like to have a shirt, please send me an email with your size and how many you want. Our shirt is a fantastic drawing of the Joker with a limp wrist stating "Why so fabulous?" The shirt is light blue and rather hilarious. Congrats to Kirk Loftin for being the winning artist.

Help a Transfer Student!
My name is Aditi Raghuram and I am a fourth year doctoral student in the I/O psych department.I was talking to Colt today and he referred me to your organization in the hope that I will be able to get some help from your members. I am currently working on my dissertation and I need to have collected all my data by the 15th of November, failing which I will have to forgo graduating. I am conducting a study on how individual dissimilarity relates to engagement in one's work and also to performance. This is a lab study and requires participants to be in the lab for about an hour at a time. Participants will be entered into a drawing for a $50 AMEX gift certificate that can be used towards anything they like. This study in the long run will benefit individuals and groups of people who are minorities/feel different from the mainstream. The implications are pretty important, but I am unable to reveal more at this time. More information about this study may be obtained after complete data collection and analyses at the end of the semester.

Meeting is this Friday at Coffee groundz,
2503 Bagby Street at 8:00 PM.

This month will be our biggest meetup yet! Its going to be our 1st Annual Halloween Meetup at The Coffee Groundz. Dress up as your favorite video game character and come party it up like Mario with a cape! We will have all of the same goodies of Wii, PS3, and projector Rockband rocking the patio.
Feel free to bring as many friends to the event as we are in hopes of making this the best meetup of the year!
