Early november Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg 'introduced' a new term for his his advertising program: Social Advertising.
It's what we should describe as "profiled or profile targetting advertising".

You can imagine that this hijacking of the term makes us a little angry. Social advertising is not so often used as the term Social marketing but everybody we asked associates it with advertising for do-gooders.
Or what I found on the net:
"The advertising designed to educate or motivate target audiences to undertake socially desirable actions".
